You may not have been to this little gem of a place for brunch and I can tell you one thing, you are missing out! They have a great outer patio area and a very nice bright interior with a cool bar. Their coffees and lattes are well worth it but what makes this place the five stars that it is, is their food. Their food is absolutely amazing! Their menu isn't too limited but also isn't overwhelming. My two favorite items: Egg benedict off the menu (with avacado and crispy bacon) and their Coconut French Toast.

Great place. The Bloody Mary was kinda weak but the presentation was excellent. They did a fantastic job of moving people in and out and the service was excellent. The food was great as well. I will return for sure.

Service was great and relatively fast. The food tastes very good and the waiter had great recommendations. One gripe I had was the price. I felt it was overly expensive with dishes averaging $17 each. Overall, it was good but pricey.

Trendy breakfast and brunch with a parking lot that's far too small. Ignore the obviously here-to-show-off OC crowds and concentrate on the fact that both the food and drinks are quite good, particularly the dutch baby and the bloody mary.Well worth a visit or two if you can ignore the crowd and realize that the staff are friendly and the food is good. Just remember to pack extra stomach space!

Family favorite. Always expect a wait for both their indoor and outdoor seating. They have fast & friendly service with great brunch and lunch options. I like the salmon hash pictured. Perfect blend of veggies, perfectly poached eggs, and tasty wheat toast! Highly recommended.

Fantastic breakfast to go along with a nice glass of wine or mimosa. Very healthy alternative to the usual IHOP and Denny's for around the same price.

Plums seems to be a very popular breakfast/brunch place. I went on a Sunday and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. Fantastic customer service and the most beautiful decor. However, my friend and I likely picked the wrong dish because we were both not happy. I personally had the biscuit and gravy brunch dish which came with a fried egg, bacon and gravy sauce. it looked interesting and tasty, but it was not that great. I always thought a friend egg would be fully cooked and this was barely cooked. The whole dish was pretty salty. It just wasn't for my palate. The menu variety wasn't very enticing for me. Parking is scarce if it is busy but I noticed people coming and going pretty quickly.

Exceptional breakfasts. A unique take on biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had; pancakes were perfectly fluffy, and each dish our group ordered was a hit. Would highly recommend.

Busy place, so expect to wait. Also a bit pricey. OJ is fresh squeezed. I had the coconut French toast. They were just OK.

Shirred egg 100/10 absolutely delicious and recommended. Coconut French toast was really good too. However, the hygiene level of the tableware is questionable especially when it gets crowded during weekend!

I love this place. Fantastic pancakes. The salmon hash we had was overcooked, but it's worth coming back for the pancakes.

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing breakfast at PLUMS CAFÉ (Costa Mesa, CA) – they also serve brunches and lunches. Today, my wife ordered the Specialty Omelet with bacon, ham, feta cheese, olives and avocado, with a side of fresh fruit; I ordered another Specialty Omelet with bacon, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, onions and spinach, with a side of potatoes – plus a couple of their unique apple-maple sausage links. The food arrived quickly, and everything on both dishes was very tasty, perfectly cooked, and delicious. Service was excellent, and prices reasonable. Our only issue was the high level of noise in the dining area. BTW, you know this is an upscale restaurant when there is a valet parking service right outside! Anyways, it was a terrific breakfast experience and we definitely recommend it.

Plums is a great breakfast and lunch restaurant. The food is top notch. However, the coffee is not that good. It takes away from what is otherwise an excellent meal. Bring your favorite brew with you, or have juice!

This place is just an overall great brunch spot on the weekend. The food is simply amazing, you can never go wrong with a few mimosas or cocktails inside with a nice vibe or enjoy the patio and weather. This place is very pet friendly, the will treat your furry friend and offer water which is always a plus to me.Prices are very fair for the quality and deliciousness, it can get a little busy but worth it.

This place was packed for breakfast on a Wednesday. I ordered the Eggs Benedict (Chipotle style) and my husband got the Oregon Trail, which is meat, sausage, eggs, and bacon.I liked the benny. The ham was really good, but the baguette they serve it on was difficult to cut. Wish they served it with a steak knife. I ordered the shirred eggs one time and same deal. The potatoes it comes with were good, but they put way too many herbs on them. All I could taste was rosemary. Next time I would order the benny with fries instead. My husband liked his dish for the most part. The bacon is good, but he didn't like the sausage. Pancakes are good, however, the bottom side was crispy and overcooked. Real maple syrup. I would try the spinach and feta omelette at some point. It comes highly recommended.Service was great!

Still serves best breakfast in Orange County! Great food: steel cut oatmeal with berries and pancakes and sausage and on and on. Great service! Love this place!

Gourmet breakfast. The Eggs Benedict with Chipotle Hollandaise was great. However the hashbrown potatoes had an excessive amount of herbs including potent rosemary. The pancakes were great except they left one side on the grill too long so that side was ridiculously crispy. The bacon is excellent. There sausage was not that good. It was homemade, gamey, and dry.

Plums, definitely a great place to go for breakfast. The Oregon Trial, wonderful choice; pancakes, apple sausages, bacon and eggs. The sausages and bacon are of excellent quality. Pancakes are bravo! Eggs Benedict, might be a bit too saucy (a bit too peppery), but we like the ham and hash potatoes. Good service and good ambience. Coffee is good as well. It has our recommendation! 👍🏻 be aware of the prices, above average. We paid usd 66 including tips. Well, try it once and see if you want to come back. Surely, we will be back!

The food was great. We set outside with a group from work and the service was good and quick. The outside seating was very nice and to fight then morning chill there were heaters that warmed the place up quickly.

The food and service here are really good. My table ordered different dishes to try and my favorite one was the chocolate waffle. It's not too sweet, so you can still enjoy the chocolate flavor with the bananas added to them. My favorite part was the hazelnuts (I love them). The dish comes with whole hazelnuts so it definitely adds a nice crunch. It gets full quick, so best thing is to reserve beforehand.

There were 5 of us but we had made reservations so we had no wait. It was packed, and I could see why! The food was delicious. If you’re looking for “typical” American breakfast (ie bland) this is not the place for you. Their menu was dynamic and sophisticated. I had the eggs Benedict with chipotle hollandaise. It was absolutely delicious. The servings are enormous too. Staff was very attentive and we enjoyed our experience.

OverviewA great place for brunch, but well worth the wait. It does include unconventional brunch items like trout too. What I orderedBiscuits and Gravy - Buttermilk Biscuit made from scratch, Layered with Two Fried Eggs, Tomato, Oregon Pepper Bacon, Homemade Country Gravy & Tillamook Cheddar CheeseProsThe menu is a good size, lots of variety too (not just the typical brunch menu). Portions are quite generous and service is great also.ConsYou will most likely encounter long lines and a long wait. Tips1. Have someone go early and put your name down for a table2. Order a side of bacon, trust me and you'll thank me. It's delicious.3. Apple maple sausages seem to be a crowd favorite.

Went there this morning for my 70th birthday. Drove up from San Diego. Others came from the San Fernando Valley. My review: FIVE STARS from the moment we arrived until the moment we left 90 minutes later. Well worth the drive. Couldn’t ask for more. FIVE STARS.

Patio seating so you can take your canine friend!! It’s a little cramped so make sure your pet is small enough to fit near you, or is well behaved enough to be in a tight space. Food is delicious and service is friendly! I had the Dutch baby for the first time and it was amazing.

We were really excited to go here after all the great reviews. However, the food was just okay. We ordered the Salmon Hash, Dutch Baby, Herb and Berry drink, and Eggs combo. The drink was great, very refreshing. The Dutch Baby was okay but not as good as some other places we've tried. The Salmon Hash had great flavor but the potatoes were undercooked. The worst part was there was hair in the potatoes of the egg combo. The waiter gave a brief apology. There was no attempt at all from management or the waiter to even offer anything other than remaking the dish. We were disappointed. We will not be back; sadly it's just not worth the wait with so many other great options.

Questions & Answers

Plums famous Dutch Baby well worth the wait. I get it with Raspberries. Its very unique and you wont find it many other places. There are many other great items on the menu depends if you like sweet or savory, possibly a mixture of both.
